I don’t even know where to start. Hands down the best shawarma in Leicester, if not, the UK. Service is 10/10, staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile. The atmosphere and decor is great. It used to be an American Diner but it also fits in with the Arab/ Lebanese theme. The owner is a great guy, always smiling no matter what. It’s got to the point where I’d walk out my house and instantly start walking towards Alo Beirut. Absolutely incredible food with a good variety to choose from. Would 100% recommend to ANYONE. Give this place a try and thank me later.- Service

Service was great, we were unsure which cold side to get in our bowls and the man serving us was so helpful and gave us a little taster to decide. He explained everything well and our food was ready in good time. As you can see from the photo the presentation was incredible for a takeaway and it tasted just as good! Great first experience and will definitely be back again.

I experienced Lebanese cuisine for the first time in July at a restaurant in South Kensington, London, and I was quite delighted by the flavors of their mezze platter.
Upon returning to Leicester, I found myself craving another Lebanese meal. After a quick search, I discovered a local establishment and decided to order a takeaway mezze bowl with potatoes as a side order.
I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was, and the portion size was so generous that I could only manage half, saving the rest for the next day.
The owner of the shop was also incredibly kind and polite. I certainly plan to return sometime soon.
Thank you so much for your lovely foodMore reviews+12
5* customer service. Consistently good food and portions and special requests are always heeded. Vegan friendly- I have had their falafel and Mat mezze bowls, replacing the halloumi in the mat mezze bowl to hummus/moutabbal/saffron rice or batata hara.

Amazing discovery! This place randomly popped up in my feed and led by its amazing reviews I decided to visit. The owner of the place is extremely friendly and welcoming the moment you open the door and step inside. He does his job with a smile on his face and is a pleasure to chat with. I ordered a beef kebab, in a traditional lebanese wrap. Everything was super fresh and tasty and I could clearly tell that all the ingredients were homemade and freshly prepped. At the end I was treated to two complimentary Lebanese cakes, which was such a lovely gesture. I really enjoyed them too. I'm super happy to have discovered this little gem and I'll definitely be back to try more - thanks 😊- Service

Ordered a shawarma bowl and it didn't disappoint! Chicken was juicy. The tabbouleh was amazing and authentic! I wish the bowl was never ending! Reminds me of the the Lebanese food I used to eat when I lived in the middle east! Good value and really friendly service.

Owner response
Hello, Milena I much appreciate your compliments! We are happy to serve you again and are thrilled to hear that you loved your lunch.🙂
Absolutely delicious, the hummus and garlic mayo hit the spot and taste exactly as it does back home. I love their plates and shawarma bowls much more than their sandwiches though. definitely recommend and we have been coming back for me too often. Also, the owner is incredibly friendly and clean. Finally, good Lebanese food in leicester

Mazen did the catering for my late brother's memorial.
Throughout the whole process he was responsive, accomodating and prepared a fantastic menu for the memorial itself.
To begin the process, he prepared a tasting menu at the restaurant for us to try. This was all delicious, and a great reflection of Lebanese food.
For the actual memorial, the food arrived on time, was extremely well received all cooked to perfection.
Whether you are visiting for a takeaway, or have a larger catering requirement, I would strongly recommend Alo Beirut, and Mazen himself.
Thank you for your food, and for helping put together a fitting memorial for my brother.- Service

And nice meal options if you're on your own, as you can get a bowl with meat, rice or potatoes, two meze and bread. Many other Lebanese places, you need to order all that separately and in sizes meant for 2+ people. Nice to be able to get all my favorite dishes at once.
Of course, would be nice to eat here with friends too. Bring your picky friend, because here you don't need to agree on fattoush vs tabbouleh!- Service
